I know I know, the titles of my blogs are all movie titles of films most everyone has watched and here I am picking the most obscure film in the history of me doing this. But I’m biased . It’s a film I cut and did sound design on and bust my fucking balls to make this a damn roller coaster of a film. And the reason I am still throwing praise at our little movie is that it keeps racking up the laurels. We done did win another, this time from Moondust Festival in Finland. So far we have received 29 laurels, some for Official Selection, others for semi finalist but a large proportion are for the Best Film categories. Best Horror/Thriller, Best Film, Best Low Budget Film. It’s been a great run that started with winning the Best Film Award at the Durban International Film Festival and then I went mad, signed up for a FilmFreeway account and starting hitting the festivals. It was tough at first, going big or going home and sometimes being heavily disappointed tat the wins weren’t rolling in. But eventually it paid off and we have had a good 2 year run. There’s still a few festivals left we are waiting on notification and then sadly it’s done. It’s a wonderful and strange film that when you give out the log line, peeps are like”no fucking way am I watching that” and then they do and they’re like “fuck that was fun”. So if you do ever get the chance to see the film on the festival circuit or some fucker has torrented it. Enjoy.
