It’s been a wild ride. Found out 2 weeks ago I was nominated for two SAFTA awards. That’s the South African answer to the BAFTAs or the Oscars. Best Achievement in Editing for TV Comedy and TV Drama. How to Ruin Love was a team effort with 4 episodes divided between 4 editors and GO! was a 6 part series edited by me on my own. Friday the 13th was my lucky day as it was announced I had won the SAFTA for Best TV Drama. This is my 5th win, the first four being as part of a team and finally I got this one for myself. Happy to share my previous awards as we did a good thing together but man this is so special to be able to have just your name on the trophy. I hope that doesn’t make me sound arrogant or ungrateful. I’m so fucking happy.

While I have you, this year is going to turn out pretty good after a very tough 2025. I have several films lined up as well as a few shorts. Some finishing and a couple in pre-prod.
